September is always a difficult month, isn’t it? Dark and chilly evenings, misty mornings, existential “back to school” dread and the accompanying low-level anxieties of unfinished geography homework. So to help everyone ease themselves gently into the autumn, I’ve put together the first Haunted Generation Radio Show for several aeons. It has the theme tunes from Budgie and When The Boat Comes In, a school assembly hymn performed by the 1978 Nottingham Forest squad, two bits of music once used by Kenny Everett, a song about maths by Ron Geesin, speculation about Puff The Magic Dragon and the usual smattering of BBC Radiophonic Workshop delights, all beamed from the console room of the old Gilkes Street Baths in Middlesbrough.
